Baking meringues? First time...?

they won't look any different, they don't rise like a cake or anything. You are basically just drying them out. Is the color less shiny? When done they will have absolutely not shine at all. The oven temp sounds a bit too low, however, I always try a recipe exactly as written before I start to tweak it. May be 90 degrees and three + hours will turn out perfect?
