In The city I live in The City owns the land between the Sidewalk and Street.?

I have talked to various people in including the Public Utility which maintains the electrical grid which supplies our electricity. They prune the trees when the limbs of the trees touch utility lines. You See big trees pruned into big Ys as a result. Looks like a bunch of giant kids slingshots all over town. Ridicules to pay the kind of taxes we do and have the place looks bad. I have found out one Quart of weed/brush killer will kill the tree. Will the brush killer leave any residue in the soil that can be traced to me leading to possible litigation by the city. Has there been cases which the city has sued someone for killing a tree in front of the house they own. The tree was planted and big when I bought the place. It was no concern to me until these Big Killer Tornadoes come along.One good blow the tree is on my house with live High Power Electrical Cables..These Babies look like they are transferring huge amounts of power.
