After I drain the engine oil can i add a quart of clean oil to flush?

i have a 2006 chevy impala with 93,000 miles. I hear when doing a oil change you can buy a cheap quart of oil and add it to the engine after draining the old oil. getting more of the old oil out of engine. dont want to use the engine cleaning treatments because i seen bad reviews.
