Hatians are latinos and dominicans, puerto ricans and cubans are west indians?

I have bin to haiti and can not see any cultural difference between haiti and other latino countries beside kreyol. i mean the whole country is roman catholic like other latin nations, the music sounds just like meringue and salsa to the point i simply thought it was and felt like i was at a spanish club. ithought i would hear more reggae on the radio but nope salsa annd meringue sound music even the same ad lips. some latin countries are mostly black like dr which seems to have identical music to haiti but in spanish. pr, cuba and dr are west indians mainly due to location and the foods are basically all the same. i cant tell which country has influenced the other the most as all have similar culture excpet jamaica which is more influenced by british and doesnt have a catholic majority and most of the music doesnt sound like meringue and salsa although some of it sound a little similar to some latin music, haitan music is latin music. i just dont know who influence who more.
